I am completing my 23rd year in education.
When did you first know you wanted to be an educator?
I was actually in my late 20s when I began teaching. Before that, I had worked in different industries so I could travel and live in different places. When I finally relented and took my first teaching assignment in a 1st-grade classroom, I immediately fell in love and never looked back!

What inspired you to become a principal?
I love teaching and mentoring children and I love people who love teaching and mentoring children, so leadership was a logical next step for me. I have loved my time as an AP and can't wait to tackle the challenge of the Principalship.
What is your own vision/mission for the school under your leadership?
To create a learning environment that empowers academic excellence and inspires students to become lifelong learners, so that they can have a positive impact on our community and the world.
What most impresses you about your students and Glynn County Schools?
To create a learning environment that empowers academic excellence and inspires students to become lifelong learners, so that they can have a positive impact on our community and the world.
What most impresses you about your students and Glynn County Schools?
I am constantly inspired by our students' bravery when faced with difficult tasks and situations, their ability to critically analyze their performance in school and their joy when they discover new things.
What are your expectations for not only your staff and students but yourself as well?
I hope that we approach each day as a new beginning with infinite possibilities and that we give 100% to the day's work.
What does student success look like for you?
Elementary student success encompasses academic achievement, social development, and personal growth. This includes mastering foundational skills, fostering positive relationships, and nurturing a love for learning with a growth mindset.
Outside of school, where might students, parents or staff members run into you?
I can usually be found enjoying one of the amazing outdoor spots on St. Simons or Jekyll Island, and if we are on a long break, they would most likely find me at Disney World!
