Dr. Charlie L. Frazier Jr. , Principal at Satilla Marsh Elementary, is among the more than 60 district leaders and superintendents to successfully complete the AASA Urban Superintendents Academy Program.
Dr. Frazier was acknowledged during a graduation ceremony held during AASA’s 2023 National Conference on Education in San Antonio, Texas, where thousands of superintendents and other district leaders convened to discuss the most critical issues in today’s public education landscape.
AASA’s partnerships with Howard University and the University of Southern California were created to bolster the effectiveness of school district leadership. The academy offers a dynamic approach to superintendent preparation and certification.
“It was an honor to participate in AASA’s Urban Superintendent Academy program, which is among the best professional development opportunities I’ve ever had as an educator,” said Dr. Frazier. “I have a passion for this work and participating in the academy gave me the opportunity to network with colleagues across the country who, like me, are striving to become a better educator. This program provides superintendents and those aspiring to become superintendents with a thorough and visionary program designed to develop and support effective school district leaders.”
