Where did you get your degree(s)?
I earned my degrees from Grand Canyon University and the College of Coastal Georgia.
Where have you taught?
I’ve taught at FACES, Sterling Elementary, Altama Elementary, and Glyndale Elementary. I was a paraprofessional for 10 years, a teacher for 8 years, and an assistant principal for 2 years.
When did you first know you wanted to be an educator?
I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a teacher. It was my Sunday school teacher who made me fall in love with teaching. I wanted to be just like her. Once I started school, my experiences with teachers solidified my decision to become a teacher.

What inspired you to become a principal?
My desire to see teachers and students thrive is what inspired me to become a principal. I’ve served under many great leaders. As assistant principal, I’ve been led by Mrs. Mavis Jaudon, who loves the students we serve at Burroughs-Molette like they were her children. Her leadership has profoundly shaped my approach to guiding both students and teachers.
This inspiration is deeply rooted in my personal experiences as a student.
This inspiration is deeply rooted in my personal experiences as a student.
I had many exemplary teachers who served under extraordinary leadership. It was because of those teachers and administrators who believed in me that I was able to overcome seemingly difficult circumstances to achieve great things. Their impact instilled in me a desire to help others reach their full potential, and that passion has guided my commitment to the students of Burroughs-Molette.
As a child, I lived on Lee Street for several years. I attended the school where I now have the honor to serve as principal. Returning to this school feels like coming home—a chance to give back to the community that shaped who I am today.
What is your own vision/mission for the school under your leadership?
My vision is to Build a Better Burroughs! There is a legacy of excellence at our school, and I want to continue strengthening that legacy.

I am impressed by Glynn County Schools’ commitment to all stakeholders! One of the things that impresses me most about the students of Burroughs Molette is how resilient they are.
What are your expectations for not only your staff and students but yourself as well?
The expectations for my staff are simple: Teach our students so that they have the knowledge and skills to be successful academically, socially and emotionally; and love them unconditionally. Loving our students unconditionally means that we believe that even when they make mistakes, they are still capable of achieving great things!
What does student success look like for you?
When students can meet the high expectations we have for them and contribute positively to those around them.
Outside of school, where might students, parents or staff members run into you?
I love shopping, so you will mostly run into me at Hobby Lobby, Target, HomeGoods, Kirklands, or the movie theater.
