Students in Glynn County Schools returned to class this week with around 9 percent signed up for virtual learning, a significant drop from the 30 percent off-campus enrollment during fall semester.

Not only was Phillip Bulatao the top male runner in the area this season, he became the fastest racer in Glynn Academy history four times over, making the senior the obvious selection for The Brunswick News’ Male Runner of the Year award.

The State Board of Education (SBOE) recently voted unanimously to approve State School Superintendent Richard Woods' recommendation of a .01% course grade weight for Georgia Milestones End-of-Course (EOC) exams for the 2020-21 school year.

The Glynn County School System will open the waiting list for prekindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Each called name signified a sacrifice made.

As Sterling Elementary School Principal Wanda Shue went down the list of names, each veteran in attendance at the school’s Veterans Day ceremony, hosted Tuesday, stood for a moment of recognition.

Wednesday is Veterans Day.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, elementary and middle school students will have an opportunity to choose their learning environment for second semester.
