2024 Open Enrollment for the 2025 Plan Year

 

 
SHBP Health Insurance Open Enrollment (Passive Enrollment)
Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 -  Friday, November 8th, 2024
 
 
American Fidelity Flexible Benefits Open Enrollment (Mandatory Enrollment)
Monday, October 21st, 2024 - Friday, November 22nd, 2024
 
 
If you would like to continue your flexible benefits (dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FHSA/DCHSA, etc.) YOU MUST RE-ENROLL with American Fidelity.
If you do not re-enroll, you will NOT have coverage in 2025.
 
 
***Retirees: If you are enrolled in an SHBP Medicare Advantage Plan, you must re-enroll in order to keep your current plan option. If you do not re-enroll, you will be defaulted into the lowest cost standard MA plan for Plan Year 2025. For more information, please click here.
If you are currently retired and carry Cigna Dental insurance through GA Breeze, you will remain covered under GA Breeze. If no action is taken, your coverage will roll over automatically for plan year 2025. Please click here for more information.
 
*Please note that Glynn County Schools will no longer be participating in the GA Breeze Flexible Benefits Program effective January 1st, 2025. If you retire(d) prior to December 31st, 2024 and have dental insurance, you will remain covered under GA Breeze and your deductions will continue to come out of your retirement check.

During Open Enrollment, You May:

  • Elect coverage
  • Change to any Plan Option and/or vendor for which you are eligible
  • Enroll eligible dependents
  • Drop covered dependents
  • Decrease/increase coverage tier
  • Discontinue coverage
 
 

Do I have to participate in Open Enrollment? 

 

If you want to keep your current health insurance coverage, you do not need to do anything.Your coverage will roll over automatically.

 

If you want to keep your flexible benefits, you must re-enroll in coverage. You will need to schedule an appointment to meet with an enrollment coordinator at your work site.

 

 

What benefits are available during Open Enrollment?  
 
Open Enrollment includes two separate enrollments:
 
  • State Health Benefit Plan (Medical Only) and
  • American Fidelity (Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Cancer, Hospital, Health Care and Dependent Care Flex Spending Accounts, etc.)
