Long-term substitute teachers who are serving in vacant teaching positions (not working for teachers who are on leave) and who work 10 or more consecutive days in that same teaching position, are required to have a Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) issued Clearance Certificate.
To be eligible to work as a long-term substitute, the individual must first be Board approved as a substitute, then complete the following requirements to obtain their Clearance Certificate:

Taking and passing the Educator Ethics Assessment is a requirement. It is inexpensive and the assessment can be taken on any computer that has internet access.
Once you have finished the Educator Ethics Assessment, you will receive a Completion Certificate. Please email a copy of your certificate to our Certification Specialist, Mary Beth Brothers at marybeth.brothers@glynn.k12.ga.us.
