The Glynn County School System will open the waiting list for prekindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Each called name signified a sacrifice made.

As Sterling Elementary School Principal Wanda Shue went down the list of names, each veteran in attendance at the school’s Veterans Day ceremony, hosted Tuesday, stood for a moment of recognition.

Wednesday is Veterans Day.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, elementary and middle school students will have an opportunity to choose their learning environment for second semester.

Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, newly released data from the Georgia Department of Education indicate that students in Glynn County Schools continue to exceed expectations and outperform their peers nationally.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 2, high school students will have an opportunity to choose their learning environment for second semester.

Glynn County Schools recently hosted its second annual mock interview day for high school students with disabilities, as part of a larger initiative to prepare students for the working world after high school.

Students at Burroughs-Molette Elementary have lent their voice to the 2020 election. Their ballots may not be counted in the official tally that will decide local, state and national winners, but the students can take pride in knowing they’ve engaged in what one day will be their civic duty.
