The Georgia Department of Public Education and the Georgia Department of Public Health recently released a document entitled Georgia’s Path to Recovery for K-12 Schools. This plan provides guidance, not mandates, regarding reopening school this fall.

In an effort to prepare for school next fall, we have created a very simple and short survey for you to complete for the upcoming school year to help us more fully prepare to meet the needs of the students. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions on the most beneficial way to move forward with education in the fall.

Parents and guardians who have a child that will attend public school in Glynn County for the first time next school year are encouraged to register their child now for school in August. The 2020-2021 school year will begin on Tuesday, August 11.

Starting Monday, June 1, the Glynn County Schools Nutrition Department will offer breakfast and lunch to children ages 18 years and younger through USDA’s Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program ensuring that all children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.

Commencement exercises for Glynn Academy will be held on Thursday, July 9 at 7:30 a.m., and Brunswick High will host its ceremony on Friday, July 10 at 7:30 a.m.
