American Fidelity will have enrollment teams coming to each school/site. To enroll, you will need to schedule an appointment to meet with them at your work location.

RETIREES:  Please visit the “Retiree Option Change Period“ page where you’ll find the 2027 Retiree Decision Guide, 2027 Retiree Rates and much much more.  ROCP gives members the opportunity to review current Plan Options and make changes to coverage based on needs.   

• Elect coverage
• Change to any Plan Option and/or vendor for which you are eligible
• Enroll eligible dependents
• Drop covered dependents
• Decrease/increase coverage tier
• Discontinue coverage

Open Enrollment includes two separate enrollments:

• State Health Benefit Plan (Health/Medical Only)
• American Fidelity (Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, Accident, Cancer, Hospital, Health Care and Dependent Care Flex Spending Accounts, etc.)

SHBP (Health Insurance) – Your current coverage will roll over to 2027 if no changes are made.  If you need to make changes for coverage effective 1/1/2027, you must do so during Open Enrollment.

American Fidelity (Flexible Benefits) – You will need to self-enroll or schedule an appointment with a representative to confirm current elections or make changes.
